How to setup your Stripe Account

Walkthrough of how to setup Stripe for online vehicle deposits.

1. Go to the Stripe Register page and create an account

2. Select Accept payments online or in person and then click Continue with Payments

    

3. Go through the steps to connect Stripe to your business and bank account

   

    

4. Click the plus button

   

    

5. Select Payment link

   

    

6. Add a new product: Car / SUV Deposit

   

    

7. Ensure details are correct and then click Add product

   1. Name: Car / SUV Deposit

   2. Description: Fully refundable deposit for a car or SUV

   3. Price: $500 CAD

   4. Type: One time

   
   
   

8. Check Limit the number of payments

   

    

9. Click Create link

   

    

10. On the next screen, click Buy button

    

     

11. Update the following and then click Save changes and copy code

     

    1. Type: Button

    2. Change button text: Checked

    3. Button text: Place a Deposit

    4. Change styling options: Checked

    5. Button color: #E3173E

    
    
    

12. Repeat steps 4 through 11 using the truck deposit product details:

    1. New product: Truck Deposit

    2. Description: Fully refundable deposit for a truck

    3. Price: $800
