[Managing Inventory](https://help.carpages.ca/knowledge/managing-inventory?hsLang=en) # How to use the MarketPulse Vehicle Pricing Tool within Dashboard Connect ## MarketPulse is the vehicle pricing tool built into Dashboard Connect. It helps dealers compare inventory against similar vehicles currently for sale in the market, so they can make faster, better-informed pricing decisions. It is currently in beta. **Note: MarketPulse is currently in beta Stages** ### **Important: One-Time Permission Request** The first time a user clicks **Check Market Price,** the browser shows a **permission request** from **Dashboard Connect**. This is a **one-time permission request** required for the **MarketPulse** functionality to work properly. Once approved, you should not need to complete this step again. ### How to use MarketPulse 1. **Select a vehicle -** Open a vehicle from the dealership's inventory in **Dashboard Connect.** 2. **Review market comparables -** Click **Check Market Price**. ![](https://help.carpages.ca/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-05-2026-02-20-54-0927-PM.png?width=279&height=191&name=image-png-Oct-05-2026-02-20-54-0927-PM.png) 3. **MarketPulse** opens the **Market Pricing (Beta)** tab and finds similar vehicles currently advertised in the market. ![](https://help.carpages.ca/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-05-2026-02-21-56-1860-PM.png?width=284&height=337&name=image-png-Oct-05-2026-02-21-56-1860-PM.png) 4. **Compare position -** See how the vehicle's asking price compares with the market median and typical range. MarketPulse informs the decision but does not set the price. --- ### Manually Check Vehicles Not Included In Your Inventory Dealers can also enter a **VIN**, a **price** and the **odometer reading** to run a check on **any** vehicle. Prices are adjusted to the vehicle's year and odometer. ![](https://help.carpages.ca/hs-fs/hubfs/undefined-1.png?width=413&height=269&name=undefined-1.png) - **Comparable Listings:** Each comp has a checkbox, so dealers can **Select all** or remove individual comps. **Include other trims** widens the comparison beyond the selected trim, and **Refresh listings** reloads the comps.
